oh god, I was seriously proud of this, drew this only June of last year

now April of this year :D
I’m very proud of the improvement, and I like where my style is going, even if I have a bunch to work on c:

Crappy anime style? Check.
Glaring anatomy problems? Check. {I mean, look at her breasts and at her arms. And legs. And… the rest, really}
Massive Mary Sue-ism? Double check.
And drawing on lined paper, with poor coloring? Check.
I remember being really proud of this back in 2007 XD This anthro Pikachu thing was my old fursona, Pokeinny. She liked to dress as Link from The Legend of Zelda and as Gruntilda from Banjo-Kazooie, as you guys can see. Plus, she had her own pink fairy named Condess, a pink Ocarina of Time, and a living female broomstick named Crystal which I used to pair with Gruntilda’s broomstick. Plus, she had a really close friendship with Link and was Gruntilda’s arch-enemy.
…WHAT WAS I THINKING @__@
For the sake of comparison, I redid this drawing a few weeks ago. Just… compare the difference. Between 2007 and 2012, there was quite a lot of improvement 8P

Finally submitting one of my own XD
Here’s two characters of mine, the top being the first human character I created back in early ‘09, and the bottom being my most recent this year.
I’d like to think my anatomy has improved in both animals and humans >A>

so this was an image I drew in the eighth grade, I’m pretty sure. that doesn’t seem like a long time ago to me, but wow that was like five years ago. back then I was really, really into rusuke hamamoto’s work. I still really like his stuff but I don’t have a desire to completely copy his style like I did back then.
here’s a redraw! I tried to imitate the style I was going for in the older picture.

I still have a ways to go but I think I’ve improved quite a bit since five years ago.

ohhh man.
The one on the left is part of a bigger picture, but that’s not important. It’s from 08 or 09, I think. The one on the right is from 2011.
I love this OC of mine, Sparta, and I like to think I’ve branched away from that anime profile view thing going on there… yeah buddy… nice lack of facial features you’ve got going… :’D
There’s always room for improvement, though!! :)
Here’s my deviantart, by the by!

Submitted this to deviantArt sometime in January of 2011. It’s the very first drawing of my main OC. Poor thing didn’t even have a name yet, and had the same name as me for a good long while. Of course, that changed after a while. Also ew this is a jpeg what was I even thinking. :T

Here’s something I just drew today (5/5/12). I’ve always got room for improvement, but I’d like to think I’ve gotten a lot better over the past year or so! Also, she’s much more developed character-wise. :D

The left was some Ancient Greek Lady I drew my Junior year of High School; and on the right is her redone, I’m in my 4th year of college.

2007 v. 2010

Same two Inuyasha fan-characters, three years’ worth of difference. Posing’s still a bit awkward for the second one, but…definite improvement in coloring, anatomy, different faces, hair, etc. etc. etc.
